Artist Statement

I am a fine art male physique photographer, transforming masculinity into art, with the focus on body positivity. Combining the art of photography, the technology of digital sculpting and 3D printing, casting in ceramic and finally completing the process with age old gilding and raku techniques allows me freedom to experiment. I don’t create art with the aim to have some deep philosophical meaning. I want the viewer to enjoy the beauty of the male physique through my work. My sculptures are an extension of this view, photographing models as inspiration and referencing them for the sculptures. The unpredictability of the finished piece is a constant surprise, making each limited edition piece unique. Some are sealed and others left raw to allow the oxidation process to naturally change the character over time.
